now scrubby mctubster is back and im told we'll figure out next week what the rotation is gonna be

I don't usually do fridays at my regular spot, but i saw a flyer for another club with the djs (duo dj team) that does fridays. so i call up the owner and was like, "uh, who is doing friday night?" he responds, "you, i forgot to tell you." i cleared my friday and agreed to it cuz i need the cash. then i get a text today, from him. turns out the duo is splitting up for one night so they can do both clubs. I was like, WTF!?

Now I'm out of a gig/money that I need and I don't have plans. Fuck!

Fortunately this has not happened to me yet but every day i go into some gigs thinking they are going to tell me to go home because its ridiculously slow. I guess they dont care about paying me money to dj an empty spot, i dont mind though as long as they are happy with me :)

she also doesn't like me cause i got into a fight with her that all djs aren't the same and deserve to be paid accordingly...this bitch had the nerve to tell me NO HOUSE MUSIC....i laughed

Hahaha no its an empty spot on tuesdays two out of four for the month. Empty meaning about 20 people and two people dancing LOL. Its empty because its a ghetto spot, i usually do promote and it was packed for awhile but in san diego on tuesdays there are tons of better spots to hit up for "taco tuesdays". Most of the people i know who came through just thought it wasnt their style. Not my style either, but two reasons i stay there. Tuesday night is a long ass day of school from 7am to 8pm then i dj so i usually have very little energy. Second i am still new to this crap, going on five months so i take what i can get, money is money. Only time to practice anyways, i used 1.8 for the first time last night for five hours straight :)

That's a positive way of looking at it: getting paid to practice.

nah no contract but they canceled on me at 10pm the night of the event when I got there! I told them to pay my ass because it wasnt possible to book another gig and I was losing money, so they paid me since I was the resident there every week and they needed me.
