I juz wanted to see how many people are gonna be risking themselves this weekend using 1.8 beta since it juz came out. I'm gonna be doing 2 halloween gigs tomorrow and 2 more on sat. and the biggest one on Wednesday and I'm gonna use 1.8 :D

i'm playing the night before (30th) but i'll be using 1.7.4 - the next day is a houseparty so defo using 1.8

stickin wit 1.7.4. for now.

I'll probably use 1.8 on my desktop (where i build my overviews and adjust crates) so i can use the pre-listening mode and set cue points.

naa, I thought about it but I this is a huge weekend for me (and most DJ's). Gonna play it safe till next week, or maybe the week after that...

i used it tonight. works just fine. i'm not scurred.

played for 7,5 hourse last night, not one problem!!!!!

1.8 here. I've used all betas at all gigs. Never a disappointment. Of course, I test pre-gig.

Used 1.8 today for 4.5 hours at a gig. only 1 minor issue which with tabbing
4 more gigs this week - and they will all be on 1.8.

However, before I played I spent 20 minutes trying to make it crash - no matter what I did, SSl would keep on playing ( a few USB drops - but what caused them I would NEVER do at a gig)

ya im gonna try to crash it tomorrow and if it doesn't, ill use it for my Halloween gig.

I used it both nights... Friday and Saturday. Total time mixing with 1.8 12 hours... counting a mix I"m doing.

I used it on saturday with leopard on a macbook 1.8 with 1.25 gigs of ram and a 57. I got scared big time. Everytime I would load tracks on the left deck and cue them up I would get the dropout light. Sound never went out, but was still nervous nonetheless.

happening to me too puma! Im getting mad light ups & the occasional dodgy 5 secs of sound! Still need to strip out the dell bloatware! But don't know enough about it to do so myself as im scared of removing something I need!

I used it at home, but the the sl1. not for a straight hour though just some messing around for 10 or 15 minutes. With the 57 it was crazy usb light ups. I know wireless was off. Ill have to test it at home again with the sl1 for a longer period of time.

You can probably get rid of a lot of it. or do screen shot of the add remove programs and we can tell u what you need and don't need.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay less stressed. In the beginning was a little nervous, but then it got cool. In the beginning a group of guys were doing the whole breakin thing. I threw on some tracks for the ladies and got them dancing too. Im not saying I killed it, but i did get it ready for uno seis to jump on the decks and do his thing.

Will see how it goes this thursday.

played monday not problem at all on vista totally tweaked system dam near everything was of internet,wireless,tweak so usb is in front not background.

wait did get some ocassional screen freeze when backspining the record but also got that on 1.7.4 with 1gb memory upgrading 2gb today
