When Scrolling Using My Knobs....

Dj K.Smith 8:41 PM - 25 October, 2007
The highlighted area goes "up and down" instead of just going down. I've tried this scrolling through my tracks fast and slow and the same thing happens... Is there something wrong with my knobs? Are they dirty? Anyone else experience this problem?

Sam, Matt, Shaun, help ya boy out...

What do you mean by "up and down"? You are turning the knob clock wise and it is also scrolling up instead of down?
Dj K.Smith 10:47 PM - 25 October, 2007
Exactly... While turning my left or right knob (to scroll through tracks/crates) the display will not consistently go "down" through my library... It will on ocassion go "up" and "down"...

I get the same shit. Its like the smallest amount of movement (Bump on the P1 or P2 knob) causes the highlighted area to move up or down. I can actually tell a diffrence in feel of movement between the 2 knobs. The P2 knob spins more freely on my mixer compared to the P1 knob. I think with all the scrolling I do its either worn or dirty...dont know.

Hmmm dont have this problem yet but i hope it doesnt come up dam it!!!

Could be a dirty or worn pot P1/P2 pot. Try cleaning it with DeoxIT or send it to use for service.

To send the unit in for repair you will need to be issued an RA# (return authorization number). To request an RA, please e-mail me your serial number, full name, shipping address and telephone number.

Once we receive the unit, our turnaround time is typically 3-4 days.

Thanks Shaun

Did this work, K.Smith? I've been having the same problem and have always just attributed to the latest update rather than to a dirty pot. I'll also try spraying some DeoxIT and see if that works.
Dj K.Smith 10:47 PM - 9 November, 2008
I sent my mixer in Kase and they tested it and said it was cool... It still does the same thing but I guess I'll never know why...
dj_KaSE 4:20 AM - 10 November, 2008
Wow, that sure doesn't help lol. You figure they would've known what's up.

I guess that rules out the problem being associated with 1.8 since you've had this problem over a year ago.
Dj K.Smith 4:32 AM - 10 November, 2008
Yep... Nice myspace page man, lol...
dj_KaSE 4:38 AM - 10 November, 2008
Man I need to update that shit. I want to make it look like I'm a superstar DJ.
>=)
Dj K.Smith 4:46 AM - 10 November, 2008
I heard that... What else is good with you?
dj_KaSE 4:55 AM - 10 November, 2008
Working on getting into grad school for social work next Fall. If that doesn't work out then I'll probably jump into teaching. Right now just DJing and taking some classes.

How's your DJ business going?
Dj K.Smith 5:36 PM - 10 November, 2008
Good now thanks to the holidays... Time to try and stack up some cheese for the winter... Was slow for a good while until just recently...
dj_KaSE 5:37 PM - 10 November, 2008
Damn, opposite with me. My November is dry.
=\

I blame the economy.

True that... People are saving instead of spending...
