57sl button caps? and encoder slope adjustment?

Before I split hairs let me say that this mixer is really really nice.
This is sort of a weird idea...has anyone considered capping the b1-b6 buttons with some kind of rubber coating? In a way I find the keys on my ibm thinkpad to be more tactile than the 57sl buttons... Everything on the mixer has a perfect feel, from the rubber pointy eq knobs to cue slider...but the serato buttons are hard plastic. Just a thought.
P.S. Am I the only one wishes that when you turn the encoder for the frequency parameter of the filter, that you dont have to spin it around like 3 or 4 times to cover the whole frequency range? I would like it to have a similar feel to a regular knob for tweaking the cutoff...especially for house songs.
I would prefer the encoder to be more user friendly, or have a customizable slope like on a midi controller.
Thanks...

What version of the firmware are you running?
If you upgrade to the firmware in 1.7.2 you will get this
* The entire frequency range covered in one rotation of P1
I'm afraid the firmware can't do anything about the feel of your buttons.

thanks...i just updated. the filter frequency is much more managable though, although i must say it seems responds differently between when i turn it fast and when i turn it slow.
it would have been awesome if they designed big round mpc style pads for the b1-b6 buttons.

Unfortunately there seems to be a limitation in the rotary encoders, if you turn them very quickly then a lot of the clicks don't register so there is a maximum speed you can turn the encoder to get a full sweep in one turn.
On the pads subject, I can't wait for 1.8 with Midi support which will let me use my trigger finger with SSL.
