A lot of times there will already be a serato scratch live set up hooked up and different DJ's will just bring their own hard drive or thumb drive so we don't have to hook up someone else's box when switching DJ's. The major problem with this is when you want to eject your drive you can't do it safely because it's "in use by serato" even if the current tracks aren't being read from that particular drive. Most people will just pull it out when they are done, which can cause the system to glitch or the drive to lose data. You need to implement a feature to safely unmount drives within serato. I know it can be done because pro tools can do it. So go... do it... now!
