Seriously... Hasn't Itch and Traktor proven that beatgrids are useful enough that SSL should have it native, without Ableton and Bridge?

Get rid of all the junk in the middle and let the beatgrid be the primary beat matching points. Just make the down beat a fatter line then the rest. I don't need to see the peeks in the middle to small and confusing.

at least as an option. this also goes hand in hand with my other suggestion for simple a single color waveform.
simple waveforms > clean & effective
