Hello Serato People,
Quick question regarding the website playlists. I tend to do post them religiously now more than ever, if only for to keep record of great gigs for myself. For the past two weeks I have not been able to edit any list I have or upload playlist images. I've tried every troubleshooting technique I can think of, every browser and even on friend's computers. Is it something I've overlooked in my profile settings? I need to tackle this asap as one of the requirements from my biggest and highest venues be that I 'share' my playlist with them for promotional material.

I was able to modify this page effortlessly and attach a file too but no luck on my playlist page

You neither? I haven't been able to save or modify a playlist for weeks now, regardless of browser used. Hell, I even went so far as to try on my android tablet. When I pulled up a debug, I saw the following:

Same issue here, i'm glad i'm not alone in this, i reported this problem to a Serato MOD last week and he said he would look into it next week since they are moving to a new office and things get kinda crazy when that happens. Hopefully they will be able to fix this since i'd love to use this feature for my new radio show.

Hey guys,
Sorry about that. Like irieproductions mentioned, we've been a bit hectic with the move recently. I've found the rogue piece of code that caused this stuff to stop working and have reverted it. Thanks for letting us know of the problem.
You should be able to edit playlists as per usual now.
Again, sorry about the bug!
Cheers,
Eru

does closing SSL before ending a live playlist session screw things up?
I know I did that last time, and I could not edit my current playlist tonight
on top of that, I closed SSL again without closing my session (bad dub!)
now it still says "live"

there should be a way to close a live playlist on the actual website
PS. I really want to push this playlist feature. I would love to see it linked with facebook somehow.

Hey Dub Cowboy, Papa Midnight, thanks for reporting and verifying this - looks like a small bug sneaked through the other day - I've fixed this now.
The website has code in place to handle these situations, so no - it's not necessary to explicitly end your live playlist session.
Not any more :) live playlists have a time out window (I think it's an hour, from memory) - if it doesn't receive any playlist data for the duration of the time out window, it closes it automatically. To stop it being "live", you either need to stop the playlist explicitly within Scratch Live or ITCH, or wait for the timeout period to elapse.
That's a good suggestion, but off the top of my head I'm not sure it's as straight forward as that - our comms with Scratch Live/ITCH are currently one way. Our DJ software broadcasts data to our website, and our website receives this data, turning it into a playlist. Having a button on the website would mean we'd need to be able to tell Scratch Live/ITCH that we want to end the playlist session, and that it should stop broadcasting - which means we'd need two way communication - ultimately making this a lot more complicated.
We've had this suggestion a couple of times - and it's definitely a valid suggestion - personally, I'd love to do this as well, but this isn't something we're actively working on at the moment. Don't worry though, your voices are definitely being heard :)

I was thinking more about after the software closes so it would not need to communicate back. Basically a way of forcing the timeout, so I can immediately post a link to the playlist after the gig.
Also. I posted a link to my live playlist last week and the text for the playlist title was from the previous playlist I had posted.

here is the result.
I wanted people to see the playlist for the Reggae show I was spinning but the title showed my RETRO VIDEO SET that I play as a different alias. Killing my branding sauce

^ That's an odd one
If I understand the situation correctly...
* You did a live playlist titled RETRO VIDEO SET some time last week
* You finished your set and quit Scratch Live without ending the playlist session
* You started a NEW live playlist and named it REGGAE JAMDOWN
* You shared the playlist link on Facebook - resulting in the screenshot you attached
Is that all correct? I have a few ideas but I want to get the general procedure from you before I start theory crafting :P

Cool, thanks Dub Cowboy
Our initial thoughts are that Facebook is doing something with the cached data on that URL (live playlist url's never change) so it may be something out of our control, but we'll have a look in to this and let you know what we come up with.

Hey DJ Dub Cowboy,
Would you mind trying loading the URL in the Facebook URL Linter, it should refresh the data it looks up, regardless of what's cached. If it loads correctly into Facebook after you've run it through this, we should be able to assume it's a caching issue.
