Hi There. Since loading Serato 2.0 when loading a music file the processor works hard and the file seems to be being re analysed. Will I need to re analyse all my music files with 2.0? I know your forum says that is not necessary but it seems to be the case that the system is re analysing the files on each load of the track.
Best regards
Lightyear

Hey Lightyear,
I would recommend re-analyzing all of your files in ITCH 2.0 as it has improved BPM and Beatgrid detection.
In terms of your tracks being re-analyzed on track load, do you have the auto-fill overviews option enabled in the setup screen? If you have set Beatgrids enabled in the offline player for analyzing it may be that ITCH is re-analyzing the track to build a Beatgrid.
Let me know how you get on.
SAm.

Hi Sam
Thank you for your response.
Not sure what you mean by the "auto fill" options in the set up screen. I got rid of the "hi fi resampler"
I also looked at the offline player but I don't really intend using that as I'm a mobile dj who will mainly get asked for 80's stuff! I enabled the offline player and think I did what you said.
On the files that had been re analysed there was still the same problem.
What did work was getting rid of the sync entirely. Of course, what I did not realise was that the Denon can activate the sync on it's own and then you can't turn it off if you have disabled it in the software! If this is the way then I can live with it and remember not to activate the sync button on the hardware!
I will try at some point to re analyse the collection to see if that helps as the sync is quite useful but not at the expense of the tremendous processor load.
If there is something I have missed could you let me know?
I am happy that I can use itch 2.0 though, even without the sync it's a great program.
Many thanks
Simon

Hi Lightyear,
This should be done automatically no need to worry about this one in ITCH 2.0.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Dear AnthonyS
I had loads of problems at a gig last night with corrupted AAC files. One I am sure I played at the beginning of the evening and it corrupted later! I have looked at your site and others having issues with AAC files. Should I now convert all my AAC files to MP3? I have started doing this but it is a long job - to be sure I am deleting the original files and burning the original discs - I cannot do them all as I have too many, but my principal music I will do. Is this necessary do you think? I used Traktor before and never had a problem like I had last night.
I know this is a different problem but I am doing this before re analysing my library. What do you think? Is Serato not so stable with AAC files?
Many thanks
Simon

Hi Lightyear,
At this stage it isn't neccessary to re-encode all of your AAC files to .MP3.
Could you please attach one of the files that you noticed corrupt over your set. Is it possible to upload the original AAC file and the corrupted copy to this thread ?
You could try re-analyzing your library before you start to re-encode all your library.
If you could upload those files I will have a look to find any commonality.
Thanks
Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for replying.
I deleted the files and then started to re encode my principal songs when I read your email. I stopped re encoding and have re analysed my collection instead.
I am attaching a corrupt file that I noticed is still there. I hope this helps.
I have not got a function for a while (business is a bit slack) but I will try the system out at home with the re analyzed files.
Many thanks,
Simon
