3.5mm jack headphone socket broken

raf1983 8:51 AM - 27 July, 2011
Few days ago I bought a new TTM57SL, and already damaged 3.5mm socket. It's now loose, and only one channel is working. It got broke quite easliy, to be honest. I live in UK, and as I saw, Sennheiser UK is doing servicing for Rane here. Will they fix it for free? I know that Rane US probably would do it for free, but what about UK?
thanks in advance

Yeah, mine broke quick too, but never sent it in to be fixed. I forgot my adapter and had to use it. About an hour into the gig my hip hit it and it broke :(

broke mine as well - it broke really easily !

i am also in the UK but decided to just roll with the larger jack input rather than send to senhieeser as I have read a few things on here about them taking ages to action repairs.

u gotta tie off the headphone cord so there is no stress on either of the headphone jacks.

A broken headphone jack would be fixed under warranty.
Yes, Sennheiser can do the repair as long as you purchased your mixer in the UK:)

Hey clickclickw00t,

We can still repair your unit. You would just need to pay for it:)
Unless the mixer has water damage or was dropped from a two story building the highest cost for a repair on a 57 is $300.

I wish i had known that. There was a broken 57 that sold on ebay for 150 about 6 months ago.. Should have scooped it up!

Wow! $150 is cheap! Would have probably been well worth it unless it had major water damage.

the mixer worked, but when you ran any type of audio through it for whatever reason it peaked out (it was like the gain knobs were stuck turned completely up or something)

Hm.. ya.. sounds a little scary. Not sure how much that repair would have been?

How hard are these to fix? Mine's broke but the jack is just going at an angle now. Doesn't seem like it would be difficult to open it up and realign it again.
