Hopefully its better than google wave. That was a good idea that massively flopped. I think it will be hard to take over facebook since pretty much everyone has invested in it, course it happened to myspace...

everyone also uses google, so it's a possibility. also, im thinking that google will figure out someway to integrate their phone software with google+ somehow. should be interesting.
in other news, apparently facebook has just released video chat within facebook. welcome to 2001

Google+ looks amazing. I have it. They stopped the invite system though and sent a lovely email that basically said "Wow, we didn't anticipate such a great response, we closed the invite system for now"
It looks great so far... but there's not enough users yet for it to take off.
One thing i think is cool, is everytime you take a picture with your phone, it uploads the picture to your own "cloud" that you can choose to share later on... same with videos.

Man, WOTCH OUT for Google. Not just from an information gathering standpoint, BUT most times, they want to add some Google TOOLBAR or Google UPDATE mess to your PC.
That is the biggest SPYWARE HOG that I've come across whenever diagnosing PC's for slowness.
The Toolbar constantly tries to get updates from the internet, thus using up your resources...
The BAD thing is that it's not intelligent enough to know when you have the software already installed (beit unbeknownst to you or not), and will therefore install multiple instances of it, and fire off multiple requests to the internet for stuff...
I'm tellin' you, I've made a LOT of money fixing that thing on "Slow" PC's.

hmmmm... so if you install it a ton of times, than it has multiple tool bars running? Do you uninstall each of them or does uninstalling once take them all off?

Most times, it does a silent install and runs as separate services...
A few can be running in the following areas (assuming you're a Windows user...)
C:\Documents and Settings\DJJOHNNYM\Local Settings\Temp\Googletoolbar.exe
C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\Googletoolbar.exe
C:\Windows\Temp\Googletoolbar.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Allusers\Applications\Googletoolbar.exe
And they can ALL have startup parameters that you didn't even know about...
Check your "Task Manager" to see what processes are running if you happen to be a "Google" fan.... :-).
That has been my Public Service Announcement of the Day.
Enjoy.

I tried the Beta version of Google Music and it sucks. All it is, is a music player in the cloud. Nothing groundbreaking like I expected. There's no sort of music discovery to find new music. You have to upload your own music which is wack because you download the music in the first place then you're uploading it back to the cloud just to listen to it.

Google plus seems kinda cool. Not sure how it's gonna work out with all the people still stuck on Hotmail and Yahoo? I dropped hotmail when they wanted to start charging money for IMAP and POP services. Google-integrated services with Android is the best switch I could have ever made.

on top right, click your name, then click profile
click blue edit profile button, then click the section you want to change.
the top one is your profile name (firstname lastname or DJ ShadyLady). at the bottom you can also change/add other name and nickname.

if I make a circle just for dj's, can I change my name just for that circle?

You can set a nickname that only that circle can see. I haven't checked to see how it's visible to those in that circle.

Wow... when you put something in the "Other Names" field, you can select what circles see those "other names." Holy shit this is awesome. This makes it so easy to have just 1 account and have more than 1 professional life.
Yo, I might have to invest..

Just a reminder... if you're only using your government name, put your DJ name on there too so I know who the hell you are.nm

The BEST feature by far is the automatic upload of pictures and videos. I have mine set up to upload only when I'm using a WiFI and the phone is charging.
