Censor Button in Absolute Mode

Please make the Censor Button available for Absolute Mode.
Or make it switch automatically from absolute to realtive when pressing Censor during absolute mode.
Would make things a little more easier,

When I first started using SSL I used exclusivley the Absolute mode, after using it for a few months I've found I prefer the relative mode because, A I don't need to put the needle back to the beginning of the record between tracks, B it doesn't skip, C I can use the cues and censor.
However I do agree that censor should be available in absolute mode, and the hot cues as well (although hot cues would have to make the system switch to relative and stay there OR we could have it so whilst the cue point was held, it stayed in relative and then when the cue was released it switches back to relative and the track will jump back to where it would have been if the cue was never pressed.

secondedand stop calling it "censor", "rewind efx" would make more sense
Actually 'censor' makes more sense and here is why: It was born out of a suggestion to censor out swear words for some hip hop DJs by reversing the playback. It wasn't added to be an 'effect'... but it works out well.

Anyways it was introduced as "censor" in SSL. So we should keep it like that, not to mess things up ;-)

stick with censor if you like, but please make it an effect that can be conveniently used, here in Europe we think more about the music than the words, you know...
I say: implement an auto-looping feature like the one on the PVDJ Grabber (formerly known as Redsound Cycloops) - spice it with the "rosnec" function ;-)

I'm an european DJ (Germany) myself, and I'm sure all of the DJs around the world are caring more about the music than anything else. If it would be the other way round, they would be MCs or something...
It's maybe right, that it doesn't make sense to "censor" music for an audience, which can't follow the lyrics... ;-)
I just stick to the notations given by Serato in the manual or in their update releases, so everyone knows what we are talking about. If they would call it "de-f#&%" button, I would even stick to that, although I never use it for censoring lyrics.
I think mainly they just wanted to point out the difference between censoring, which makes playing the sound backwards while the track is still advancing and playing the track entirely backwards.

No problem with calling it "censor" or whatever else.
I was arguing more about the function focus on censoring than the name itself, I'm liking this feature a lot and would like to see it better implementer, may be midi controllable?

midi controller is a whole different can of worms,
for me the keyboard shortcut is fine.

Does anyone who plays hip hop actually use it to censor curses? That would be a right pain in the arse watching for curses when your trying to mix

Midi controllable would be nice according to all functions of SSL. Even having GUI-Buttons would be great to trigger stuff with a touchscreen.
