The platters are actually pretty dope for scratching. They're heavy, in a good-build-quality way and quite responsive.

i agree about the wheels for scratch but they do have a learning curve when coming from other jog wheels

It looks pretty hot and complicated ... I like the feel of the ns7s plus im not spending so much time with buttons i can actually enjoy the music.. But it looks pretty Dope ... I wouldnt mind having both..

The NS6's looks solid, though it'll be hard for me to go back to non spinning platters after messing with the numark v7's. Just waiting on the Serato Itch 2.0 to drop and we are set! Great job Numark!

Good job on the NS6, agree with Fuidawg tho, NS7 and v7's spoiled us. 2.0 and i will be grinning ear 2 ear.

Just bought the NS6 yesterday... I was GEEKED for like two months before it came out. I have been working with the m-audio xponent for a good 4 years. I love the NS6 platers, very responsive I can actually work on my cutting skillz. Effects are DOPE and easy to figure out on the first day. I miss the bpm counter from the xponent, each track in my folder had the bpms next to it so that I would be easy to find songs to mix on the fly. Does serato have that feature? One other thing I cant figure out cueing on the headphones with NS6. If my left side is playing and my fader is to the left, I press the headphone button for the right side to hear what I want to mix and I dont hear anything. No matter what combo of buttons I tried. I cant wait to learn this machine!!!!

hey, so i bought a ns6 2 days ago and my eq lights wont light up when tracks are in play and serato made some of the effects lights freeze up a couple times and i had to reboot the console ALSO when i press sync it syncs the tracks for good how do i turn the sync off i tried pushing it again but still nothing. i love the thing regardless but some help with this would be great.

turn off sync by pressing delete button + sync

eq lights seem to follow volume knob so if you are not blasting the volume past 9 o'clock the lights dont light

Has anyone had a problem with ITCH freezing from time to time when you use the pitch controls with sync? Obviously i have...have to restart ITCH then its good to go again...this cant be good for live shows...

It would nice to get the program working ... it worked the first time. I've re-installed 1.8.1 version on numerous occasions.... NOTHING!! I'm looking for a refund soon.

I believe this machine still has a ways to go. Really considering getting a refund. It freezes up during gigs. Never had that problem until itch. Also channel 3 mic doesnt work already. I just bought NS6. Its a love hate relationship for me. She may have to go. stay tuned

How did yall get the NS6 to work on a macbook...my macbook continues to say "Hardware Disconnected". Tried force updating firmware to 1.13 but it doesnt want to update and it wont update automatically unless the macbook recognizes the hardware(ns6). Can anyone help?

you should analize all your files , start by turnning off your controller or disconnecting it. Then pick a folder/crate or the songs you need, and then right click and drag the arrow directly to the analyze button; which is mid screen to the right. To have your bpm colum show right click the top of any colum showing and choose bpm

I just purchased the NS6 and installed the latest version of Serato (1.8.1). Everything works except the headphone button. When I press it to send the selected channel to the headphone, the button lights up but the sound is sent to every output (Master, booth and headphone). I've tried this on every channel with every combinations using the headphone button and headphone controls but nothing seems to work. I've search the web and it looks like others are experiencing the same problem. Is this is a known issue? Is there a fix for it?

Yes! That worked! Lowering the line fader with the headphone button on eliminates the channel's output to the main speakers but maintains signal to the headphones. That's exactly what I was looking for. Kinda logical now that I think about it. :) Thanks for the quick response! I'm loving the NS6!!

ok i am just wondering if you put the cross fader on the left and press the right channel headphone knob with all channel faders up what do you hear in headphone and main speakers

I hear both channels on the headphones and the main speakers. Sliding the cross-fader back and forth doesn't make a difference. As long as the fader is up on any channel, the channel signal goes to the headphones and main speaker. The nice thing is that the headphones control has a "BLEND" knob (CUE on the left and PGM on the right). If you set it to CUE, and you press the headphone button on any channel, it'll send the signal to the headphones. As the knob is moved to PGM, the signals blend until the CUE fades.

Just set up my NS6 and everything seems to work, but I have no volume coming from my computer. Volume is all the way up (on the comp) and other applications play sound correctly. My master vol on the ns6 is about 12 o'clock, PC toggle is to the left, crossfader to the left. I'm playing a track on deck 1. Headphones have sound. Please help.

Have you connected speakers to your NS6? The audio does not come straight out of your computer speakers - it comes out the back of the NS6.

there will be no volume from computer the ns6 requires speakers connected to it

I just bought the NS6 and I can't figure out the effects...when I toggle them in Itch it sounds like the same effect no matter what selected effect is (i.e braker, echo, etc.) do I need to re-download the software?

Guys..I just bought the ns6 two days ago and can't get it to work...I tried installing the drivers that came with it and went to serato to get the latest itch but the controller is not working...I am a bit confused and frustrated now...please help...can anyone show me step by step what to do in detail?..I have tried following the steps in the manual but to no result...I am excited about the controller but am too dumb to figure it out...sorry for the long wind...its my first post ever..please help.

i have a problem. When I connect a microphone or auxilary cord via the line inputs or 1/4 jack, the volume is extremely low. How do I adjust the volume to make it louder. I have turned the gain all the way up.

My NS6 is a Awesome Unit purchase it since last year,
updated to serato DJ some months ago Exellent !. I still use the ITCH off and on, actually the 2 versions the standard and updated. The advantage on the Serato DJ it has more Effects, a more professional detail look on Jog wheels as you look on the screen. was wondering is there a possibility to add more effects to the ITCH programs?
