Harry Potter Book 7

djpuma_gemini 5:37 AM 19 July 2007
Is anyone going to get the book or interested in reading the book when it releases on Saturday. Hey some people like it, so we'll see who isn't scared to say they read Harry Potter books.
Rebelguy 8:16 AM 19 July 2007
I will pick it up and eventually read it but this weekend is definitely to busy. From the list of people that die it sounds like its going to be a battle royal at the end.
Nicky Blunt 8:51 AM 19 July 2007
I've pre ordered the book it will be delivered to my house on saturday morning.

I'm a kid at heart (and have an 10yr old son). I've read them all and plan to read the 7th when it's available.
Rebelguy 6:49 PM 19 July 2007
Hey I still ready comic books. I think the Harry Potter books are very well written and the story is first rate. I give Jk Rowling props for getting kids back into reading. When it all comes down to it she has sold over 320 million copies and is richer than everyone on the forum put together. Not bad for a kids book.
sixxx 6:53 PM 19 July 2007
I haven't read a single one and saw the first movie and part of the second one. I love fantasy but it usually involves more than 4 girls... :P

Hey sixxx, go see Order of the Phoenix, it is great, but the book was better. I never knew what that meant till i read these books. I always thought, "how could a book be better than a movie." They can
jkar 7:54 PM 19 July 2007

Headlights 7:57 PM 19 July 2007

djpuma_gemini 8:09 PM 19 July 2007

This is actually more often the case than not. There are rare exceptions when film adaptations come close, but that is more the exception than the rule. Much of the enthralling content of great novels is in thought, perception and personal emotion. All things that are difficult to portray on film without going over the top with theatrical cheese.

I tried my best to watch one of the Harry Potter Movies to see what all the hype was and couldn't make it thru it. Just not my cup of tea. I definitely won't be buying the book.

Im not pro gay!
But then im not anti gay either!

However I just don't think it's something that should be put into childrens minds world wide that this is a normal way to conduct yourself!

As an adult you have a better chance of understanding and making a reasoned judgement!

I would not have had a problem with it if it had been a book aimed at 18+ market but this is a kids book! & in my opinion thats not cool!

Im not saying im right just how i feel about it!
djpuma_gemini 7:42 AM 24 October 2007
Either way dumbledore was cool and didn't pull any priestly actions in his office with ron or harry.
Here is to a prequel.
Nicky Blunt 11:24 AM 24 October 2007
yeah thats what my pops said!! its all stuff to get more sales & interest now that the books are done!!!!
dj disturbed 6:55 PM 28 October 2007
you know after reading the Harry Potter books.. i realize more and more that the Harry Potter book are not kids book... there are more adult themes in them then the movies show
