Is it possible to analyze songs when the hardware is plugged in ? if so how , i tried adding songs during a gig from a thumb drive or even downloading it from the internet, i had to shut down the mixer to analyze song. Thanks Kevin

You will only see the Analyze files tab while the hardware is disconnected.

You can always have "auto fill overviews" checked but that doesn't do you much good for learning if you have a bad / corrupt file before you play it. This is why we recommend Analyzing music in offline mode as you get it.
