I would like to have a playlist in Serato Itch, Hit play and have it play the whole playlist instead of loading each song. Can i put it on one side of the DJ Set, have it run though the whole list without me actually DJ'ing the whole time? if so, please share with me how i do that.

Thanks so much.

On the deck display where is says Playback there's two options, Single and Cont (Continuous). Change it to Cont and it will keep auto loading the next track in the crate and play them.

Note, this just plays the tracks back to back, it doesn't mix them in any way. Good for dinner/cocktail hour type stuff where mixing isn't required.

I want to do they same and it's OK that you mix the tracks.

But the problem is that you can't chose when the track ends.
Sometimes it's silent for 5-10 seconds.

I would like to be able to make a fast playlist of 10-15 songs
to play before I start the gig as a background.

But it's just not possible now.

Do anyone know if there is anyway to cut/edit the end of tracks.
Instead of cue starts to have a cue end also on each song.

Thank you

I meant in the first sentence that it's OK that you can't
mix the tracks as long as you could chose when they ends!

cut the silence off the end of the tracks manually.. should be able to do that in an hour for a good chunck of (automix) songs

Hi Kraal,
When you say cut the silence off manually, do you mean in another program
or is it possible to do in Serato Itch?

if I'm going to run a continuos list (cocktail music at wedding) heres what I do

1 - use iTunes (seriously you'll see why in a second)
2 - I set up a wifi at the venue (I keep an airport express in my stuff)
3 - use iTunes remote app to control music :D - when Im sitting at the vendor table which is usually on the other side of the room - I can pause / adjust volume using iPhone app. lately speeches are during dinner so I don't even have to move to stop the music and start it again ...
over the last year that I've done this I get complimented on what a great idea it is.

Also by having the airport express and using iTunes - MANY of the weddings I do have cocktail music in one room and dinner in the other - but there is a time when guests are in both rooms.
I hook up a speaker to airport express and can use this in 1 'zone' and have main gear and laptop in hall.

yes it

Get the Denon HC5000, Itch controller. It has a a relay mode with 0, 5, 10 second crossfade options. I use it all the time.

That is some cunning stuff. That sort of thing could not be dreamt of back when I did weddings. Good work!

Thanks.

I was playing with audio hijack and stealing output signal from itch
Only issue was a .5 - 1 second delay in the airport express
May try again soon to see if they've reduced delay if so this would be perfect for tossing a speaker on a patio or other area. Like when the bar at a wedding is in a different room.

This is most certainly a fantastic idea. However. The delay, I don't think theres much you can do about that. Because you are going over a network there will always be a delay. Im sure there will be (at some point) a way to make it appear as there is no delay. such as a millisecond delay.
Which would be fantastic!!!
