New Profile - Contacts are gone

New Profile - Contacts are gone

I like the new profile. But all my contacts are gone.
Will they come back or were they sacrificed for avatars?

Your contacts still exist but the page to view them as a list has gone.

We're currently trialling something much nicer than 'contacts' that uses the contact data. Once we're happy with it we'll let it loose for everyone to use.

In the meantime your contacts can still be used to create multi-user PM's.

And how would we send a private message to someone who isn't in my contacts list? I don't have a contact list but want to send a message to Josh and Dave at Serato.

Hi Howards,

You should simply be able to go to the persons profile page and send them a message using the Send Message button. Let us know if it's not appearing for any reason.

I thought you meant "Josh and Dave" as examples but if you mean ex-Serato Josh and Dave, they don't work for us anymore so no longer use those accounts... hence they have no Send Message option. Does that sound about right?

Hmmm...yes, that could be. The last post I see for them in the thread I was following ( serato.com ) was the end of 2010. Sorry for the interruption. ;-)
