Aux FX send - remove mic

I think there should be an option to NOT run the mic through the Aux FX bus. I've been using the FX workaround from the wiki to make the 57's internal FX route to the aux bus and run on the channel when you press the fx button on the channel and it works GREAT. way better than going tot eh FX group all the time and doing it there.
BUT, it's a real pain to have to go to the FX group and turn off the FX every time I want to use the mic. I just wanna get on the mic when I have the urge and not have to plan for it all the time and I'd also like to echo a song out and talk on the mic at the same time. Is this possible to update in the SW?

Definitely not possible to change in the software, the aux, FlexFX and mic all share the same A/D converter so there is only one signal.
What we need to be calling for is the ability to control the effects outside of group 6.

ok, I have another idea since we can't get the aux bus out of the signal chain. Why not have an option to use the flexFX button on each channel as the B1 & B2 buttons in group 6? Now that should be able to happen I'd think. hopefully!

Good idea, I think there is a similar feature suggestion asking to use the kill switches for a similar purpose.

maybe this has been discussed befo but, is there ever a possibility of havin a third virtual deck, why should we only be limited to two. I'd like to be able to create a "mixtape" kinda feel in my radio sets.Eg. be able to drop liners etc. while mixin two joints. Alt, is there a memory recall function on this mixer, I haven't come across any mention of such?

there's no way to run a third deck off serato. You could hook an xtra cd or sampler to the aux in, that's about it.

Good idea, I think there is a similar feature suggestion asking to use the kill switches for a similar purpose.
Any way to toggle the fx w/out having to switch into group 6 would be a major improvement.
How about an option for the 'mic on' switch to double as an fx kill?
Or as a group 6 toggle? More control, but less convenience than the 'kill'.
...just brainstorming, havent found the feature sugggestion about this, sorry if already discussed.

is the aux in also usable as a SESSION channel?
like on alot of battle mixers like vestax has. You could hook up a second mixer and 3rd turntable to do some extra cuts while in the mix... this would be great.. cuz 3 table mixing is also neat to do some time, im just learning it

MODJ, chill back and read the manual. Didnt you read what nobspangle said?
This is a hardware limitation. No software update will be able to change this.

It was someone else who said it first.
How does that help you? Download a hardware fix upgrade? You should patent your idea. :)

Yes you can do this. No need to flip any channels. The aux will work regardless of fader or channel assignment positions.

Maybe there's a way to rewire it inside. Jump the mic wire just before the ADC to the master just after the DAC. hmmmm.... Serato???? CAN THIS BE DONE???? if someone wants to test it, be the Guinea pig, that would be awesome. lol

95% of the time i'm playing at some club running the output of my 57sl into a pioneer 600, in which case i use the mic input on the pioneer. i'm surprised its not the same for most of you.

This is pretty much the same for me as well. However, you don't want to get used to using certain features and then not be able to use them every time. I agree the mixer should be re-worked to correct this problem even though i'm sure it won't help anyone that already has the mixer. Until it's fixed i'll continue to use my efx500.

I was borrowing a EFX from a friend of mine for the longest time, and then when I got the 57 I gave it back, thinking I wouldn't need it now that I had the FX on the mixer... Plus, That's an expensive solution!!
