Being a dreamer I always thought about how cool it would be if there was a way to put a countdown clock in corner during the night. Im sure there is a way to write something that would countdown exactly and then overlay it on top of serato on screen 2. I just don't have the time to write such an app.

it can be done in qc, but you will need to use it as an overlay.

another way would be use some sort desktop widget and drag it over the output window. i think it would have to have a parameter of 'always on top' tho.

Need to revive this thread as I keep looking for a countdown vid and don't seem to find any. Anyone wanna help out and link to some countdown vids for this year? The one mentioned before looks like it crams a nights worth of bangers and drops into 5 minutes for a very expensive amount.

Let me tell you my own experience with nyecountdown.com.
I just recently checked them out and decided to give a try. First off the customer service is great so even if u have any concerns or questions you'll get a prompt answer. Secondly the video itself is great, catchy, and they customize it for you. If u got a logo they can included in the video. It will keep your audience entertained for the duration and its got good graphics. I dont belong to this site AT ALL, i'm just really satisfied with the product.

I've got a few up for pretty cheap. www.djdoublexl.com ...I've got one you can add your logo to which is a bit pricier, but if guys like to brand themselves/their club, it could be worth it.

Now that new years has passed here is the one I made for me and my radio buddies. I cut it up from a bunch of different sources and didn't think it would be fair to post it before new years. Some people are trying to get paid ya know. Thanks DjDoublexl for the actual countdown.

i ended up using 2 different countdowns.
played Lil Jon 20 Sec Countdown [Re Fix]
cut to DVDJBiggie_DJScooter_NYE_Countdown_We_R_Who_NoCrowd for the auld lang
and mixed into Party Rock Anthem.

I ended up just making a Frankenstein mixture of video footage with my own audio. Used the audio of Lil Jon "Are you ready for 2012" 3 min before midnight. Then into N----s in Paris with part of NYE video Xtenda put up. Edited to the Videohive clock around a minute before midnight. After that cut into Auld Syne Lang with a video clip from Trading Places talking on top. Eddie Murphy saying "Merry New Year" haha. After that it was a couple of different mixes of Party Rock Anthem chopped together.

That's like describing in words how you had sex ;)
