Consideration for dual monitor setup

AddamXavier 3:49 AM - 26 April, 2007
right now I'm using a dual monitor setup with the left one being the "primary." but i usually like to have SSL maximized on the right one. however, at least with 1.7.1, when you launch SSL, it always maximizes to the left one. all i would ask for is that the program remembers the "state" it was last in (maxed on the right monitor, windowed, whatever it maybe). ill probably eventually move to a laptop where it wont matter, but it'd be cool to have that feature.

thank you for your time

weird...

I have dual monitor and mine opens and closes on the right.

when you close SSL it should remember where the last time it openned, just like regular folders or programs.

yeah that is odd because mine doesn't (v1.7.1) one thing though, do you have your right monitor set as "primary?" because i assume if i set the right one the primary monitor it shows up on the right one, but id prefer to not have to switch that setting.

i just looked at my settings the left is my primary

but that should not matter.

when you open and close a folder does it stay on the same monitor?

yeah, pretty much none of my programs have an issue. I'm thinking of reformatting again during the summer so maybe that could rattle something loose as it were.

well, as long as SSL does do it, then its my problem and not an issue for a further revision. like i said I'm going to try to get a dedicated laptop that'll make this issue moot anyway.

thanks for you input

I too have this problem. It changed when I upgraded to Vista, on XP SSL remembered its position, yet on Vista it seems to just open up on monitor 1 every time.

Running latest beta and its the same...
