Simulated scratches

Zion-Prayz 12:53 AM - 15 April, 2005
Since you can scratch using the mouse on the waveform how about having shortcut keys to simulate different fader movements like transforms, crabs, flares, etc...

:D
KMXE 1:18 AM - 15 April, 2005
no disrespect - but i completely disagree with this. SSL, i believe, is meant 2 allow u manipulate digital music via normal DJ means & skills, not replace your skills.
djspicedham 2:43 AM - 15 April, 2005
completely agree with kmxe- simulated scratching is LAME.
BassChamber 7:56 AM - 15 April, 2005
c“mon dude, dont be so lazy and practice the scratches by yourself! :D
SpinThis! 12:36 PM - 15 April, 2005
i guess automated mixing is next...
dj dawn 2:19 PM - 15 April, 2005
Yeah! The SSL box could include a robot who can perform your mixes and spins automatically ;)

can said robot be female and provide the dj fellatio?

come on mods, get workin on this
KMXE 2:53 PM - 15 April, 2005
even better - a program which emulates the robot that does the scratches 4 ya...... so then the setup would be a laptop controlling another laptop with SSL installed on the 2nd laptop, then connected direct to the amps

We need that! Esp. after Sam's implemented "bitch bend" function ;-))) *lol*
s42000 3:54 PM - 15 April, 2005
A shortcut for the "missionary scratch" would really be nice ....
Dj KaGeN 7:16 PM - 15 April, 2005
When is this version being released?
And how much will 'it' cost?
KMXE 9:39 PM - 15 April, 2005
lets let the robots decide how much & when
Zion-Prayz 10:00 PM - 15 April, 2005
Gotta admit it would be good to have fader control for internal mode. I'm going to have to mess around and see how using the mouse in conjunction with the mixer works out - could save on control vinyl wear - I could have my own scratch named, maybe the mouseformer or miceys :D ;)
DJ Juan G 8:57 PM - 18 April, 2005
Control Vinyl lasts for a long time before it begins wearing out and besides, the replacement is only $10. Seriously dude, you gotta ask yourself. Do you really want to DJ or do you want some- one/thing else to do the work for you and take credit for it.

I do want to know when the version that includes the robots is coming out? That will save me all the time I spend in my studio practicing. Can he clean up too?
KMXE 10:09 PM - 18 April, 2005
i think the robots would be programmable. i might get the SSL Robots to just do what i do every day and i just stay home & watch DMC Battles, then i'll program the robots to replicate the battle routines
Zion-Prayz 10:12 PM - 18 April, 2005
Hey, I don't hear anybody criticizing people with CD decks for all of the extra enhancements that turntables don't have...no wait that's not right, they get criticized all of the time.

Actually I just wanted to see the range of responses that were going to come in...but don't be surprised if you see the mouseformer scratch whenver they decide to allow SSL in Vinyl Kombat
:LOL

Haha :)
DJ Juan G 4:58 PM - 19 April, 2005
I can just see it now in a DMC battle and this guy takes first place with just a laptop and a mouse no decks and no mixer.

Zion-Prayz = The downfall of deejaying.

Zion, you made yourself look like a fool. Just dont respond to this post change your name on this board and never speak of simulated scratches again

Cizzel 10:49 PM - 22 April, 2005
Apparently
Zion-Prayz 11:34 PM - 23 April, 2005
But I gave a lot of people a good laugh, so my job here is done :)
CMS 9:10 AM - 24 April, 2005
I was thinking Microsoft NetMeeting for requests and telecommuting. It would be DJing from home. Only bad part is you can't meet the honeys that show up.

PS this is a joke.

lol it was obviously a joke, but that doesn't mean it was funny or "being nice to others".
Zion-Prayz 12:40 AM - 28 April, 2005
Well, then my apologies if I wasn't playing nice. Guess I just got a little overexcited when I discovered quite by accident you could scratch with the mouse.

Now you know it was funny though...
