Live set - how about 4 decks simultaneously!!!

What about doubling the options. i am a live devotee and play using cdj's not vinyl.
i find 2 decks limiting. 4 sounds like a good number to start with. what are the chances of the program doubling to cope with it?
come on boys.....

i think they still have the serato cue problem, but other than that, they're ok cd players.
We are talking about the cdj-1000MkIII aren't we?

To start with!?
If yr using that many channels/tunes you should play out using ableton live!

1. Using CDJ's mk111, no problem with 1.7
2.the ableton thing opens a whole new dimension but in terms of using Live it seemed to me that a double black box/ 4 turntables colour coded on the screen, and the rest of the navigation as is - would be quite a funky piece of hardware software.
3. BTW, I just recently switch to using the cd's. VERDICT: CDJ's and LIVE rock
4.Wouldn't it be nice to be able to print out a playlist after a set???? not the review list - but what actually played out through the system. Might be a jump start on where the whole music rights etc thing eventually will go , where liscenced DJ's will have to keep a record (pardon the pun) of what was played at each public performance. eeeek?!?!?!!?

4: Not phunny! (but agree about save list).
3: Good to hear. So i'll expect NO cdj-1000mkiii/ssl cue phuckmearounds when i work tomorrow nite. Absolutely NON! (sarc. :) )
2: ableton will be great when controls are: per ssl.
1:=3.
:)

last word on this CDJ thing.

Make sure you do the setup right. i do USB buffer size between 5 and 10. i kno that sounds crazy but i have never had freeze.
everything works on the cdj's except master tempo -

I run my cdj's in vinyl mode as well.
hot cues work/ loops work .quite amazing actually when you consider what's actually going on with the signal travelling back and forth.

PS. just started ableton - in that "doing my head in" phase but i still love the conventional feel of standing behind decks/ picking tunes and playing them.
