Mother F'n Audio drops.....

Seems as though my 2.4ghz processor is being used to its full potential with this here 1.7. Every single gig I have had with the NS7 and Itch has had one drop out. And then recording a mix this morning for practice I had another one? So here is this....
Dear Serato guys,
Please keep all of us here informed with any information you can possibly give us every single day. I really really love my setup. I have been playing for a long time in Medford Oregon with bar equipment and just made the switch over to playing on a laptop. Bought a MacBook, bought the NS7 and NSFX. LOVE LOVE LOVE it but its killing my reputaion when there is a audio drop. All I am asking is for you to come forward with any new information as soon as you get it so we can all help with anything we can. We are the ones using it.
Sincerly,
<this guy.

i love how everyone is acting as if serato has a simple fix and is just sitting around NOT^ releasing it..... i am sure as soon as there is a fix it will be out....
for now those having drop outs should just use 1.5 till that day comes

I don't think everyone thinks this is a simple fix. I do however know that is quite annoying to download a Newer Version (that is not in beta), re-analyze your entire library just to have issues.
The obvious answer is to go back to 1.5, but not everyone is going to take the company man role and a step backwards without being pissed. I love my itch set-up, I'm just ready for the advancements to start coming out with more frequency. (Bridge, Video, Etc.)
I know personally I'm tired of being the red-headed step brother to scratch.

I Dl'd 1.5 and has even WORSE problems. complete song drop outs. functions on the NS7 board not working.... unable to load tracks. So I went back to 1.7 and only have one audio "blip" or "drop". seems to do it once all night then never do it again. Sorry if my last message was rude... just expressing my thoughts. I think Serato is doing a great job. Just hope they keep us informed. Thats all.

people take some of my responses as being a company man or fan boy or yes man... but i am just as upsets about drop outs as the rest .... however serato has stated they are aware and working on it. ranting and calling names is pointless

If 1.5 doesn't work for you either I would definitely suggest you open a help thread and get our support guys to help you out :)

I agree with Pene on the last one..
1.5 seems a gem for almost everyone.
1.7 is the trickier one.

Is it possible to be a bad Ns7? I knew there were a few that were recalled but my serial number was way past the ones that were stated. I think a help ticket is in order.

The recall was a very small number of units and the issue was that they would not turn on drop outs are a computer issue if the unit its self was non functional it would be more likely that there would be no audio.

I upgraded my laptop from vista to windows 7and from itch. 1.5 to 1.7. Iused to work perfectly and I get dropouts of about 2.5 secs. I have 4gb of ram & 2ghz process. I followed the help ticket and still no change. I went back to 1.5 and I now have dropouts there. as well. Any ideas? Also do I have to reanalyze all files in 1.5 again?

The CPU goes red whenever I load a song and when I blend 2songs..afterwards. I get the dropouts.

Itch 1.7 is quite cpu intensive..this could be an area of the problem. hogs the juice.

I wish that I've kept up with the forums, but having been busy on the road, it's near impossible... until a problem arises, of course.
I thought I'd be the only one with the "audio drop-out" issue to report back, but alas, I'm not. As a few of you have mentioned, it's more than just audio that's dropping out. I concur that there's a relationship with CPU usage. The first time I ever noticed an issue was when I launched a cue point on each deck, simultaneously (Cue Point 1 on Deck A, Cue Point 1 on Deck B). The screen froze and audio hung up. Any other issues following seemed to fall on scratching and level changes (by channel fader or cross fader). At this point I related the issue with the newest version and CPU usage, so I tried to keep it at a minimum for the rest of the performance.

I have found keeping things a little less active has decreased the chance of an audio drop. But even if there is just ONE drop... your night can be reputation killing.... until everyone is drunk... cause then they really dont care. LOL

It's been a while and I can't seem to find 1.5 on any of my local storage. Is 15047 the next to latest non-beta release?
I had some difficulty finding previous versions, so for those of us reverting: www.serato.com

I had to switch back to 1.5 myself. There were way too many audio dropouts.

are you guys running windows7 64bit by any chance? i ask because i upgraded from vista and returned to 1.5 , which used to work like a charm and i now i have dropouts for about 3 secs. cpu is constantly going in the red especially, when i load the next track or cut a lot or hold the record just before mixing it in. just wondered if win7 ultimate 64bit had anything to do with it?
