TR/Rootkit.Gen3 Trojan Found

I have Serato Itch ver 1.7 and my AntiVir found that both files
C:\Program Files (x86)\Serato\ITCH\Driver Installers\NS7\32bit\ns7_wdm.sys
C:\Program Files (x86)\Serato\ITCH\Driver Installers\NS7\32bit\ns7_midi.sys
has a trojan in it. Is this a real one or not?

I use Avira AntiVir. Then i will just add those quarantine files back.

You need those files for the V7 or NS7 to function it may be the way that the files have registered as a service.

anti virii programs aren't absolute. its most likely a false positive based on the way the file/driver behaves in the system. I would disregard (as long as you got the file directly from a physical cd or directly from this website)

I just downloaded ITCH 1.7 (17030) from the website and got the exact same warnings. Using same anti virus program (Avira AntiVir Personal - Free Antivirus).

version:

8.02.04.72 Search engine 9/30/2010
7.10.12.142 Virus definition file: updated 10/6/10
10.00.02.02 Filter 2/16/2010

Hope this info helps...

As a side note, I need to wipe my PC as well, but I believe these warnings to be false positives.

Most probably they will be false positives, we certainly make sure there's noting wrong with the files from our end :D
