DJ ICE COLE 7:57 PM - 1 October, 2010
i would like a feature that would find and remove duplicates of tracks. i use a few record pools and i download daliy but i sometimes i end up with duplicates. I feel that would help a lot of other DJ that have my same problem
Dj-M.Bezzle 8:19 PM - 1 October, 2010

Also there is Tidy Up for mac users... It's kinda complex, but they have a ton of algorithms. You can search by file lengths, similar names etc.... The creator is also really good about returning emails if you're struggling to figure it out (which I was).

peace

I agree.. I know of ways to get rid of duplicates outside of SSL but it would be cool if SSL could eliminate dups not only from the library but from the actual hard drive
DJ ICE COLE 10:33 PM - 3 October, 2010
DJjayRage did it get rid of your duplicates you had in SSL and how did it work for you
DJ ICE COLE 10:53 PM - 3 October, 2010

Are you using iTunes with SSL? If so you need to erase duplicates from the iTunes library in order from them to be gone in SSL. For that I did try to use Tidy Songs, but that app doesn't do a good of a job as Mediamonkey & EF.
I stopped using iTunes with SSL for that reason, but still have some tracks that have the "?" on them 'cuz they were from an old iTunes library. So gotta clean them up..
DJ ICE COLE 11:58 PM - 3 October, 2010
I dont use ITunes with SSL. So im hoping that Mediamonkey will get rid of all my dup. Im trying to clean my music i hate when im working at the club and i pull up a song and 2 or 3 pop up.
DjayRage 12:07 AM - 4 October, 2010
Cool Mediamonkey is very helpful for organizing your music. I set mine up to organize them like this..
One main folder (Audio) followed by a folder for genre then artist, then album & the mp3 is in there.
This is what it looks like in my settings.
www.mediafire.com
As for the duplicates click on the left where it says "files to edit" and you will find the duplicates there.
DJ ICE COLE 12:22 AM - 4 October, 2010
thanks for all the help i need it
DjayRage 12:25 AM - 4 October, 2010
No problem
DJ ICE COLE 3:02 AM - 4 October, 2010
ok it didnt work i still cant get rid of dup in SSL. Im thinking if i can get rid of them in media player that should do it.
DjayRage 3:17 AM - 4 October, 2010
After you delete them in mediamonkey & empty your recycle bin, rescan your folders in SSL and your gonna have to manually delete anything in red in your library in SSL (ctrl+del).
DJ ICE COLE 4:38 AM - 4 October, 2010
oh ok i got you

Like all the stuff you NEVER play, if there was a way to filter that out of the library?!?! Just a thought. I'm too scared to ask for this in the suggestion section, because I'm afraid of the possible backlash from such a request :/ lol

peace

One thing that's tricky about duplicates is you always have to check which one has the cue points. If you delete the file you play out with your fucked.

Stuff that I don't play I made a seperate crate called the Suck Crate. So I wont see the songs, but keep them just in case of request. But I'm always going through the library

DJ Joe Vee 3:43 PM - 18 January, 2012
Tidy up doesn't work as well try to bootcamp your mac with windows they got better programs for duplication an organization music files or you go hook up your hard drive on a pc

and sometimes it might have the same tags but diffrent version of the song too.
