What Do you Charge. for a 5 hour gig in a club or 5 hour Mobile?????

im getting anywhere between 150-200 dollars an hour now, but when i first started i was doing mobiles between 50-80 dollars an hour.

club.. no less then $200 for a full night for mobile $100+/ hour depending and what all im having to do and how long the gig is.

mr London, i would say that starting off at 100$ an hour is a reasonable average rate to begin with.

...A very simple, but EXCELLENT advice i got in regards to getting higher pay, is to slow just start adding more to your rate as you do more gigs....do a couple shows, rock that shit, then ask for more like 50 bucks, 100 bucks, and the money just gets better and better.,

uhhh...its from austin powers.
Anyway, I once put preparation H on a sandwich of a bully that was messing with me and my friends in gradeschool. He thought it was mayo.

The key here London, is to 'package' your services. The customer wants a DJ? $150 an hour for the first three hours. Each additional hour is $200.00.

Do they want lights? Depending on what you have, that would be an additional fee.

Most mobiles forget to charge for ancillary items like lights, speakers, microphones, etc.

Nightclub gigs are different. Charge according to the size of the venue. Also, don't undercut the current ResidenT DJ.

It depends...Regualr Mobile gig = $500.00
Club Gig = $200.00
School Dances (Big Productions With lights and Stuff) = $800.00- $2000.00

what kind of equipment do you have? powered mackies with subs, lighting truss with 8 differet lights, fog, strobe, black lights, videos, movies, projector. or a strobe light and a small stereo? i think that makes a difference
