anyone know a good way to read tag info without opening SSL or iTunes?

I'm on a Mac and i like to edit in ableton w/out heavy applications running in the background, but my notes and bpm info is always helpful.

any help aprreciated :)

Can OSX not do this itself, on Windows you can just right click a file and choose properties to see all the tag info.

export your library to an html using mp3tag. make sure you export the bpm and key fields too. then you can just use firefox to look at your whole library and do searches. i broke the exports down to sort by artist first letter as you can see on the link but you can change it to sort by bpm. i notice you have a tibook and cant run mp3 directly off of it so you would need a pc to do that part on.

thanks both,but unfortunately i dont have a pc option. I might be stepping up to a intel mac/powerbook soon.

Still looking for a mac solution here, anyone?

virtualpc would do the trick on your current machine if you have a license for xp. try mediarage and you can export with it i think.
