The CDJ-800 MK2 is what you need for SSL. I sometimes switch to CD only mode and use CDd's and then I see the hastle of finding songs through thousands of CD's and I say, "Thank goodness I have SSL". I have tried them with the Denon 3500's and I like the Pioneers much better.

PIO PIO PIO, read this thread, or one like it, a million times. save from the trouble or heartache and go pio. you dont need the active platter and effects. I own CDJ1000's, 3500's, 5000's.
the old denons rock, the 3500's are pains in the ass. the CDJ blows away all competition hands down. for the money the 800 is the best. check the threads about cd player problems before you buy.
Even used pio's, prefferebly from someone reputable, is a good deal. I bought my 1000's used and they friggin rock.
def check the threads on the denon products
