So, what's the furthest any of you have traveled via car with all your equipment to a gig?

So, being that we have SSL and all. Would you consider renting "local" equipment?

8.5 for me From Middle of PA to South Carolina.

Personally I would not rent. Don't trust anybody elses stuff but my own.

I would rent a PA system and know exactly what I'm renting, but I would bring my own turntables and mixer no matter what.

I'm considering renting. I still need to think things out some more, but probably renting a PA system.

What about hiring a local DJ and tell him/her ahead of time that I need their equipment only?

The event on question will be Los Angeles to Portland. I say will, because it's family and business event.
