Product: pitchntime-pro
Version: 2.5
Platform: protoolsle
Computer: mac
OS Version: 10.6.4
---
I use Pitch n Time often to alter the timing of audio files.
I select the audio to be time-stretched and occasionally only a digital 'glitch' sound is offered rather than the actual audio selected when I 'preview' it. When processed, blank audio only is generated.
Hope this makes sense.

Hi BrianP,
Are you using any other AudioSuite plug-ins to process your audio before using Pitch 'n Time?

No ....I am only using the Pitch n Time plug in, alone, to process audio. Sometimes it does preview it and therefore process the audio....and sometimes this 'digital glitch' (it's hard to describe with words) is heard when preview is selected resulting in blank audio. And, of course, I have selected the audio to be processed.
In order to try and correct it I have reboot Pro Tools (incidentally it's Pro Tools M-Powered I am using) which sometimes works and sometimes not !
I know this isn't too helpful...so I will endeavour to seek any things that might be affecting this operation.

Are you able to let me know which version of Pro Tools M-Powered you are using?

Yes of course....it's the latest version. 8.0.4. It's running on Mac OS X 10.6.4 which is the latest version too. I wonder if Pitch n Time has been fully tested on this version.
I will still try and find some clues for you to work on if I can.

Hey Brian,
This seems to be an issue with this version of Pro Tools M-Powered that we are looking at addressing as soon as we can. Unfortunately the only workaround I can suggest would be to roll back to a previous version of Pro Tools at this stage.
Cheers,
Sam.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for your reply. It's reassuring to know that you seem to already know about this issue. As i say, it's an intermittent problem....if I can shed any light as to how to recreate the problem consistently then I'll let you know.
Brian

Thanks Brian, hopefully we can get this sorted out in the near future. I'll close this thread off for now but feel free to reopen it if you have any further problems :)
