Splitting mix into tracks......

Dj ChuckFader 7:22 AM - 7 March, 2007
I just recorded a mix. Anyone know how I can split every song into tracks. I used Audacity and using Nero to burn it if that helps......thanks

Open up a second Audacity window.

Find the part where the first track ends, put your curser there, then highlight everything back to the beginning.

Cut that section, and paste it into the other Audacity window. Now you have track 1 in the new window. Export that as a wav, then remove it from the new audacity window.

Then repeat until you're done.

Make sure you cut, don't copy, that way the main mix will keep getting smaller as you pull track after track out of it.

Export them all into the same folder and name them track 01 track 02 etc so that they stay in order.

That's it.

Hey ChuckFader, check this out:

audacity.sourceforge.net

Since you're already using audacity, this might be the easiest way.
