So...
...I was thinking of gettting a presonus firebox soundcard to assist w/ vinyl archiving and mix-cd production, but someone told me that my black macbook isn't currently compatible w/ the included version of Cubase (i think an update in the future will take of this, though). Googling seems to confirm.
F.Y.I., I already have audacity and garageband. My question:
Would the audacity/garageband combo probably be enough for what i need (archiving, straight-mix recording & multi-track recording), so I could skip using Cubase altogether?
Or should i try to get a different soundcard that comes w/ Pro-tools LE (which i think is currently compatible w/ intel macs)?
I don't know tons about any of these programs/soundcards yet (slowly learning as much as i can) and was looking for some input from some of the more seasoned-veterens of the digital recording game.
thanks y'all.
