This could be your break. Get down there no matter what. Hitch hike if you have to. Don't let this chance pass you by. You'll regret it later.

Yeah, Carl Cox is the big ass black bald dude... I saw him at the WMC a few years back and he can rock it... He'll have his own tent at the ultra music festival... Congrats, Pepi... You should go to the WMC and bring your dem's.. they have many many workshops that include record label reps who listen to mixes... LOTS of oppurtunity there....

most of the cats i look up to are cool. whenever i approach em, there always down to earth and act like real people. there are exceptions. some i even stay in touch on the regular. thats cool if hes cool. its hard to admire someone then find out that theyre a jerk in person, and still admire them. so good contact, one more step toward fame!!!

Hey Pepi ... if you're starting to get plays from big names, maybe you should start up a myspace page and put yr tracks up there in the myspace player?
It'll help with networking and stuff as well :)

Wow, i really enjoyed your comment about only giving it to people who can help....(PEPI) obviously we CANT help you but you keep asking us for our help derrr... opinions... You must not understand the business because this family is the people who can help you the most.... You have a network wheel in every single state from talking to people on this forum and these "family members" are asking to help play your track and you turn them down... WTF? If you ask me.. I thought the track was all right.. better than what I can do right now since I don't produce but now that I see your outlook as a person.. I think it blows donkey balls... That comment really pissed me off... So why don't you go somewhere else with your tracks since we can't help you!!!!

LOL.

Guys, I'd chalk up Pepi's remark to naivety not arrogance. Pepi, you should try to keep in mind anyone who offers an opinion, shows up for your gigs, or gives you knowledge is helping you!
You'd be amazed sometimes how an old chance meeting or conversation with someone can have a large impact on your career years later.

pepi, you are really approaching "crazy talk". you keep yammering on about "how do i get my tracks played" in another thread. you post a track and ask everybody for their opinions, which a lot of people gladly share with you. then, a big-name dj says he'll play your track. you keep asking "what's next, guys?!?" like we should be just as excited as you are. then, when a fellow dj asks for a different format of the track, presumably so he could play it out at a gig - which would be HELPING YOU PROMOTE YOUR TRACK - you shoot him down. now you wanna get paid when the big-name dj basically does you the biggest favor of your short producer life by playing your track at a packed gig? are you absolutely insane?!?
my advice: if somebody asks for the track so they can play it, assuming you have yourself covered against plaigarism, give it to them and let them play it. it might spark interest in your production skills. and if one of the biggest dj's in the world (according to the edm guys) plays your track, thank him with all your heart! other than that, relax, keep making tracks, and keep sending them to the appropriate individuals.

What do you do now? Work on your music. When you have another track you feel is worthy of, lets say, Carl Cox, then you send it to him.
Start DJing different venues and build up a following.
Once you have enough tracks, compile a CD and then have a release party.
Until relax... If you are meant to go to the 'next step' you will receive a sign.
