is it true i can record my serato mixes through the 57?

without the need of an imic, or any wiretap pro etc..?
boabmatic 9:54 AM 1 March 2007

thats quality. where does it save the file, is it a wav, mp3? can you select formats and save locations?
boabmatic 11:04 AM 1 March 2007
its a aif file and its in the 'recorded' folder in the scratchlive directory (which is in My docs\my music on a windows machine)

the format & location are hard coded...

one other thing when you stop the recording you must type a name in the box to the left then hit the save button or the I think the file is discarded...

wait, if you have a regular serato box you can't just hit the record button in scratch live? I have a ttm57sl and record stuff all the time.

haha I'm slow :(

i couldnt find my file that i saved last night, when you say its hardcoded, what does that mean? i couldnt post it up on the net as a download ?

default save location on a mac is in your home directory (ie: you name)

yourname/music/scratch/recording/filename

Yeah like boabmatic said make sure to name your file and hit save, I think if you don't it ends up in your trash.

As far as uploading for the world to hear your wonderful talent; what I do is convert the aiff file in itunes to a mp3. The aiff file is huge if you don't .. You can do this Luke... the force is with you.

I wish the SL1 could do this :( Oh well audacity for the time being...
