I'm working for a contractor for a cable company. That's all I know about regular jobs.
As far as DJ'ing, I'm asking the board! I've heard there were Hip-Hop clubs everywhere. I do "Black" Hip-Hop clubs, so I might be a little more limited. (For those who don't understand, it's not about color. It's about music programming.)

I know what you mean Clark lol. I know some peeps who bartend down around there, I'll ask them what's up. As for the "black" hip hop clubs, you may need to look a lil' further south. Dade county represent!

Yo Clark.. My old job sent me out to work In Ft Lauderdale a couple years ago and if my memeory serves me right Tamarac is at the end of FT Lauderdale going north. Didn't investigate many clubs while I was outr there. There was a dope pirate radio station HEAT FM 100.3 It has a small radius but they play alot of good reggae and dancehall (non stop mixes). Anyways good luck man..

Beavers? LOL!
I was down there late last year when Carnival was goin on. I had fun at one of those clubs over by that casino area. I was too drunk to remember anything else. Oh, I do remember that the club we went into... the DJ on the small floor sucked and was a dick. The DJ in the big room was good.

Hey Clark I live here in Ft Lauderdale, the place you should check out first is Riverfront in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. It's really off the chain on weekends, big strip of clubs any kind of music you can think of, also the Hard Rock Cafe, both will be loaded with women getting drunk. The good radio stations are 96.5, 99.1 and 103.5, there are a bunch of underground stations. Just scan and I grauantee you'll find somthing you like. Ask me anything you want to know, and I'll try to answer them. FYI I don't really go to clubs that much anymore but just listen to those radio stations and they'll guide to the best culbs.

I live in ft lauderdale too. Moved from NYC in 2002. Definitely don't go to downtown. That place died a long time ago. The clubs at the hard rock are decent on the weekends. Monday is good at BED in South beach and Oxygen in coconut grove. SMAC entertainment has a lot of parties goin on during the weekdays. One thing you will notice out here is that the dj's are not that good. Anyway hit me up if you need some info about the area.

Everyone, thanks for the help.
I'd like to get up with you local kats. I feel strange being in an area where I don't know over a hundred DJ's, like I do in Atl. I've always liked meeting new DJ's.
For those who'd like to meet for lunch, or whatever, I'm in Tamarac.
I did have the pleasure of meeting DJ Abyss. He was very friendly over the phone. I met him while looking for a place to rent. I'm still looking for a roommate or full rental situation.
The rental prices are SICK out here--over double Atlanta, in many places. Plus, they generally want first month's, last month's, a security deposit and maybe an application fee for a credit check! MAN!!!
I noticed that some homes in the ghet-tow are higher than borderline luxury apartments--$900 or more!!
I heard most of them don't even blend. I heard they're great "narrators". [LOL!]
I also heard that club owners don't care who have the skills--they just want the cheapest. That's generally true in Atlanta, too, but I heard DJ's in MIA don't even try to drop on tempo or even train-wreck blend--they just start a song on top of another song!! That's crazy!!
I'm thinking I could really set myself apart, or I'd have a hard time. again.
I'm already preparing for the nonsense:
"Uh, I don't know what you are, but you look kinda White... so, you DJ techno, huh?"
"So, you're kinda big, so, I know you're here for the bouncer position, right?"
"Hey, can I get a taco with that order?"
I'm really in heaven with all these Hatian and Latin women! YEAH!!!

Don't start something, Homie.
That wasn't what I said, B. I've heard very few Miami DJ's, so those weren't my comments. I just repeated what I heard from someone down here, then I quoted someone from this thread.

So, if they weren't talking about you, then what do you have to worry about? Did anyone name names?

Yep, I'm in the most expensive roach motel I've ever seen in my life! They want $450/WEEK!!
I'm trying to find a roommate/rental situation, as we speak. I've found some "deals" (relatively-speaking), but I've got to save my pennies.
Sorry, I'm having a stressful life, so far. Can anyone relate?

I was around Lauderdale Lakes today, I think.
Man, the women are SICK, here. The average women are incredible. The hard water that shows that I'm part-Black by making my hands chalky must be what's fueling the thickness of these women!
