ok so I use 2 cdjs and ssl with a ttm56 mixer, after readin bout relative I just been playin with it n this is what I found.

when u cue mark the first point, I go to cut it in.. and its moved backwards by about an inch on the platter, so u can't cut it in.

the only way you can get to the start of a track is by pressing shift and I orK and they are way too close for me to accidently reload a song.

instant doubles is cool but when ur trying to backbeat and u need that lil nudge ahead of backwards, pitch bending in rel is POOR compared to how it reacts in abs. why is this?

also.. 15 mins timecode can v easily run out on the cdj and the track will just cut out.

I see no advantages in using rel mode, only more keyboard touching.

why does the cue point move around?

why is it so awkward to get to the start of the track?

how is this mode possibly better than abs???

I don't think its more of a benefit with CDJ's than TT's. Relative make Vinyl TT's like CDJ's basically.

Start playing with loops dude, you'll see a difference.

The thing is though, CDJs have loops built-in on their hardware. in all honesty, whenever I'm rocking someone's CDJs I'm always in abs. My own setup is 2 1200s, and i'm in rel for that so I can use those loops.
