1210M5G's

blackavenger 12:44 AM - 22 February, 2007
Just here to praise the new Technics 1210M5g's I just got last week. I've read tons of gripes (on various forums) from kids saying that they suck, and were not worth the extra cash to get them.......all I have to say is - BULLOCKS!

Also, I got 2 for the same price as I paid for my 1200's back in the day. If anyone is curious how, PM me, and I'll give you the scoop.

::This is not some kinda spammer deal, just info from me::
djskeetz 12:49 AM - 22 February, 2007
can you just post it for everyone? that is really good information for any DJ.
DJJorel 12:57 AM - 22 February, 2007
I've had them for over a year now...and they are hella dope...

They are worth the extra price...and now that Serato has key lock....they are even better..

I know the other turntables have more pitch options and more features, but to me, nothing beats the feel of Technics.

By the way...I also own Vestax PDX2000s and a pair of 1200mk2s

i bought one a couple of weeks ago. It's a thing of beauty
Dj Lil Mario 1:48 AM - 22 February, 2007
I bought 2 of themin Oct. (The same time I bought Serato)
and MANN!!!!! I love the 1210's.
They feel SO much better then 1200, plus, You gotto love the BLUE LED lights that they are using. The Blue makes the tables that much more of an eye candy look.

Love mine.
sixxx 2:11 AM - 22 February, 2007
I read on this review that "The sound quality/sound pickup improved a bit from the previous models, and this can be heard especially when just listening to the needle pickup transmission, in a quiet room with the mixer off. Some bedroom dj’s will also notice that the whistle from time-coded vinyl is now almost twice as loud, but once you have a monitor on this isn’t an issue."

See complete review here: www.djbooth.net

For those that own or have used both, did you notice this as well and did or does it matter to you?
blackavenger 10:01 AM - 22 February, 2007
Yeah sixxx, I did notice an increase in the control signal's loudness, albeit not a distracting one. With my monitor on .5, I can no longer hear the whistle. I gotta tell you, the tonearm advancements are hella good. I use Orto QBerts and have adjusted the tonearm and anti-skate, and I can't get these to jump the groove.....I didn't get results like this with my 1200's.

Oh well, I'm sure there are dozens of kids on here that will debate my praises of these beautiful machines til the sun no longer shines, though in the end it's all about preference and opinion......neither of which, can anyone (at this point) change for me.

Just PM me, I am leery of posting ANY info that costs "a big & reputable" company nearly $250.00 in potential profits.

::don't wanna rock the boat for any of my future purchases with them.....yes, I'm paranoid.......peeks through the blinds!::
DJ RECKONIZE 6:19 PM - 5 March, 2007
Just purchased my brand spankin new 1210 M5gs' on Saturday 03/03/07 and they freakin rock. And yes they are way worth the extra cash even though i saved a little over $400 for two.

I agree with BlackAvenger, There are cat's out there that have claimed that they sucked, because of only one thing! the extra money. But you know peeps and know how to do your home work, then it pays off.

But all in all, these tables are tits.
Djheat1200 7:30 PM - 5 March, 2007
ive had these for a while now, and prior to them, i owned 1200 mk5's and mk2's and yes these are the truth! even though i would like some gld's just to floss at home lol

That's cool...by the way Numark products suck. Totally unrelated but I had to get that out again!

Yeah, I've had 3 separate Numarks over the past 10 years, and WITHOUT A DOUBT............they suck! Just waiting for the Korg Zero 4, and I can rid myself of the 'shitty mixer' cycle forever.
Daim 10:16 AM - 9 March, 2007
yeah numark is crap for sure
DJDLO 415 10:28 AM - 9 March, 2007
let me play showstopper like danity kane ahahahaha (homo).......but no doubt....everytime i get on a silver set i frown...im gonna get a set of 1200s soon just b/c im so used to the G5's and its not health b/c no one has them and there with out a doubt the best TT's out ever....but every club or lounge and what not has a set of sum jankie 1200s with a busted ass pitch control...i have to remind myself that my shit is tight and almost everytime i play live somehwere ima be using sum broke ass shit.....

the blue LEDs just top it off with the +-16!!!
DJDLO 415 10:30 AM - 9 March, 2007
dont ever let me hear numark again......get rid of that shit!
Jay-R 4:51 PM - 9 March, 2007
i contenet with normal 1200's. thats all we had when i learned. most clubs still use em and i don't want to get spoiled using 5G's.

i will eventually get em. they are awesome. i just can't justify the price for em right now cause i already have 2 other 1200's as back ups.
DJ GaFFle 2:48 PM - 10 March, 2007
Just got mine yesterday. Man the improvements they made over the 1210 MK2's seem dramatic to me. These skip much less with the horiziontal weight adjustment screw. I didn't think I'd even have the use of +16 pitch adjustments but I tried it with 'keylock' on and did some creative mixing while practicing...
DJ GaFFle 2:49 PM - 10 March, 2007
...The 1210 MK2's will be put up for sale now.
