Button to disable screensaver & sleep on Mac

Hello,
One thing I find irritating is that I often forget to disable my screensaver or energy saver settings prior to using SSL and the screensaver activates (consuming cpu cycles) or the screen blanks. It would be very nice to have a setup button to disable energy saver settings while using SSL. I'm using the Mac version 1.7.
Also, I'm a Mac software engineer so if this sounds like a good feature and you don't have immediate bandwidth let me know and I'd be happy to write the code for you (to turn off energy saver settings anyway, of course you'd still have to tweak the UI).
Thanks!

Yes!
Capital Second on this one!
Have not yet found a reference to this idea on the threads either - is this really the first time it's been suggested? (just wondering)
Anyway, yeah - would be great to have an on/off or permanent-on SSL setting to quickly (and automatically) alter power-saver/screen-saver/sleep on Mac (or PC); then automatically bring everything back to normal OS settings when SSL is shut down.
Nice one.

You can change your setting to not got to sleep or dim only when its plugged in.

yeah, I like and sometimes use that feature, too. But it's really nice when you've got your whole OS/setup/mojo working just right - regardless of power-plug-prescence or no.
In my own experience, the only time I really need and even want a no-dim or permanent-on screen is when I'm using SSL. And for the reasons mentioned above I think it would be great to have an auto-no-dim setting available within the application itself, as suggested.

bold-face third!
i always have to tap a button or something to keep the machine from dimming and going blank. kinda annoying. serato should run like media players in that they temporarily disable the screen saver / dimming features while running.

check this out (I haven't yet - only read the feature list and then downloaded) - this might solve all these problems:
