Cue/Play Button on CD-Players ever going to get fixed? (CDJ-1000)

I know I have mentioned and read this many times on here but I was wondering if any progress has been made on syncing the cue and play buttons on cd players such as the cdj-1000's. For those of you who have tried this serato is always off when you play then stop and save to cue using the cue button. It is always delayed when you hit the cue button.

I agree, I just started using my Scratch LIVE with a Numark HDX and I get the same thing. That would be awesome if it would sync back instantly, but for now we just gotta use the short cut keys 1 thru 5, and 5 thru 10, to mark your cue points and get used to reaching over to the keyboard. If you want to get the new Rane 57 mixer that gives you assignable buttons for cues. Or better yet give us MIDI and we can set it to a foot pedal without a midi to keystroke converter.

I used CDJs (well Denon 1000s anyway) with Serato for the first time in about a year, and I have noticed a big improvement.

agreed, it seems to have improved. I'm impressed with what they've been able to achieve so far. Kudos. Its hard to predict the future location without listening to the timecode enough to know the new location.

The latest version tightened this. Here's a trick I've found to work well. The farther away from your CD player's cue point you are in a track, the slower SSL is at figuring out where in the mp3 to jump to after you press play. So, if you want to do a quick hot start on the fly, while cueing in your headphones, press play on the deck and then cue immediatly. This will minimize the timecode jump between your CD player and SSL thus speeding up hot start performance. This is kinda hard to explain in text, but I hope it helps.
