i don't scratch but i use effects thru the flexfx on my rane 56.
if it's possible to beat match and mix with scratch live in the computer (using the MP4) then i could leave the turntables home but... do i also forget the 56 and just use the MP4 and a desk mixer to run the effects?

The mp4 has no effects loop so you would only be able to run effects on the whole master signal.
