Whitelabel General Discussion

Talk about Whitelabel.net and promo music in general

Problem with WL.

So I finally added some Whitelabel songs to iTunes last night. Played "Upgrade You" on SSL and the quality at the show was shit.

I think I may have removed the non-standard code (junk) out of the file on ID3TagIt before I loaded them to iTunes, I just don't know if that could have harmed the files music code.

Anybody got any idea?

Yeah, editing the tags in an external tag editor can potentially destroy the high quality portion of the file. Tag editors *shouldn't* do that, but some will by accident.

crap.

Thanks matt.

To be more descriptive: there's some tags in the wl.mp3s that won't show up in your tag editor (because it wont recognise them) and that your tag editor shouldn't change. If it changes them then SSL can't read the high quality portion of the file. Tag editors *should* leave unchanged any tags that they don't recognise, but some tag editors touch things they shouldn't.

How posting known "good" tag editors -- maybe even posting known "bad" also?

How = how about

A list with editors which cause problems is a good idea IMHO.

Agreed.
