Best place to sell vinyl?

As many of you know, I've had a difficult time deciding to keep or sell records. So, I just decided to sell the doubles and other extra copies I have.
So, now the question is, where should I sell the records?
Here are some options:
1) E-bay
2) My web-site or forum
3) Private sells
4) Record shows
I see pro's and con's of all. Please comment.

I am sure you could sell some of your more "precious" ones on ebay and get a good amount of skrilla.
Meeting in person always allows for negotiation. Depending on if your actually looking to make money, or hook people up you may not wanna go that route.
I'd keep it internet if you wanna make the coin, go personal if you wanna know who your selling it to and are will to give some hook ups.

It doesn't look like too many people are making money selling records on ebay, anymore!

Like I said "precious" ones as in hard to find ones, cuz I am sure you got a bunch of those. I browse thru peoples feedback all the time and always see people buying records. Theres def still a market out there.

Thx, Mr. Bitties.
I really wish I knew if records would increase in value in ten years, because, right now their value ain't doing it for me.

Thanks.
I just talked to a very respected Atlanta record dealer. He expects records will never again sell for what they did in the mid-'90's, but they will likely sell again for more than they do now within 5-10 years.
I don't know, now, that nobody wants to DJ with vinyl, anymore.

I like the Ebay idea but with the amount of wax you carry, that would be a headache. You could go through your archive and pull out the original B/W Biz "Make the Music", BDP yellow cover with Scot-la-Rock and KRS One shaking hands, Main SOurce breaking atoms LPs, take a picture for eye-catch appeal and post 5 or 10-record batches at a time. If I saw any add with rare stuff in the pics, I'd be more app to take a chance on buying.
I'll pay a mini-premium for your 12" copy of Ultramagnetic's "Funky" if you've got it. :-)

I doubt the value for vinyl will ever go up again, given the pace of technology. In 5 or 10 years, when everybody has 4 channel video mixers with all the bells and whistles, the vinyl will only be good as collectors items.

No, e-bay is no good anymore for dealers, the more I think about it. I've sold records on e-bay.
I've decided to finally try my hand at selling online.
I just started a simple list. Again, I'm just starting to list tracks:

i guess i thought you were selling your personal vinyl, as a personal sale... not as a dealer.
you're right, ebay is not the righ t place for a dealer

What's the difference from being a "dealer" and being a "personal" salesman? I'm just trying to gradually sell off a big collection.
Again, I'm just starting the list. Have any of you seen it, yet?

I would be interested in House/Tech tracks from the mid to late 90's. Feel free to PM or email with a list.
