MUFFLED SOUND ???

MUFFLED SOUND ???

Just curious - as I recently have had a slow muffled sounds with my turntables - I don't know what is causing this - I just got me turntables pitch control, cleaned, new Grounds etc. but I am still getting the muffled sound on occasion - sounds like the record is slowing down - but the music actually keeps pace with the beat of the song being played -

so I was thinking maybe it is my needle or Serato Vinyl that is causing this problem - just seeing if anybody else is has had this problem in the past - my Serato vinyl is over a year old - i switched needles / stylus's a couple of months ago too - just trying to figure out what is up with this slowing down / muffled sound - some advice would be appreciated !

what do the scope signals look like when sound is muffled? sounds like your needle or control vinyl are dirty. what type of carts you using? i heard some ortofons have problems with serato.

Also does the muffled sound go away if u switch to int mode?

Yeah its definatly the needles and vinyl are both dirty and dusty - I was hoping that was it - I will take the time to clean them and hope it is good from hear on in - thank you for replying !
