Can anybody recommend places in So. Cal? I'll go anywhere to get them serviced right. they might not be new but my old but I love them.

I go to this place called SOLUTIONS on Sunset (323.666.4161) ask for Stephen.
FYI... they are not cheap, but VERY thorough ($200-$250). I got my techs refurbed by them 5+ years ago, and have not have a problem with 'em.

I 2nd that.I took my powered speakers to get fixed there and all is good with warranty.They will break down the problems to you step by step.They repair just about anything electronics from what it looked like mainly speakers.That guy Stephin told me to take my 1200's down to get them fixed but still havnt had time but Im def gonna go there.

you can try Stacks in Cerritos, they are a record store, but i remember talking to one of the workers about repairing 1200's..

I reccomend WP Records in Lomita, Ricardo (the owner) had been repairing techs forever, dude knows em front and back.

yo man wp records in lomita does some good work there....i got new monster cables and new tone arm and tables r doin really good....ask for ricardo v.

this forum is incredible. feedback of people who really fix 1200's. this was impossible to find on the net before. serato rules.

or do like i did and get a pdf of a 1200's service manual and do all the work on them yourself!!!

That's what I'm saying. Depends on what needs repair though, but stuff like replacing the RCAs, tonearms, recalibrating pitch sliders, changing pop-up light, etc. can be easily done by yourself even if you know little to nothing about electronics cause there's plenty of guides on the internet. I mean if you're paying $250 for someone to do that you're getting ripped hardcore. Hell for $250 you could buy a used MK2s.

i can replace anything on my 1200's myself......... just hate taking out all those f-ing screws

i have no link... I dont think you can easily find them on the web... i found someone who had them and they e-mailed the PDF's to me
