laptop uberstand

DJ Reaction 6:30 AM - 2 January, 2007
this stand is SSSIIICCKKK, used it last night and its solid, breaks down for carrying super easy, kinda spendy but worth every penny, and sits more than high enough over your mixer! peep it

I like how it can hold both the laptop and the serato box too!
DJ Unique 1:32 PM - 2 January, 2007
I have it and I love it.

Gyeah I ordered mine today, but last night I dont remember there being a lot of grip for the bottom of the laptop to keep from sliding, so I'm guessing just buy little rubber grips and stick em on?
DJ Pryme 2:27 PM - 2 January, 2007

How much is it?
joerockets 5:10 AM - 3 January, 2007
~$130 usd
scotty B 5:10 AM - 3 January, 2007
Not too bad. It looks super sturdy
joerockets 5:15 AM - 3 January, 2007
it is. I can't recommend this enough. We have a permanent one at the club and no complaints so far except from some of the shorter DJs
scotty B 5:30 AM - 3 January, 2007
I am only 5'7". Maybe I will buy a step stool.
DJ A-NAK 7:06 AM - 3 January, 2007
the only thing i heard is that with a Mac laptop...it has Great chance of sliding of the rack and falling??
is this true?? and pics??
they say the front lip i guess where the laptop rests is not very elevated to sort of lock it in place...

I've looked into these solutions as well and my only concern is how well they hold up to hitting keys. We have some pretty heavy handed DJs in rotation *raises hand*
DJ Reaction 7:53 PM - 3 January, 2007
the uberstand has my vote in all ways, if peeps say its gonna slide off then just buy some damn rubber little things and stick em on the stand so it doesnt slide, and how it folds up is even more sick, its WAY easy to bring along, and I'm 6'5, so its not too tall nor too short for me!
DJ Unique 3:03 AM - 4 January, 2007
The Uberstand ships with Velcro strips, which I used to keep the laptop from falling.
DJ NightLife2 3:07 AM - 4 January, 2007
I've ordered mine before Christmas, can'T wait !!
DJ NightLife2 3:12 AM - 4 January, 2007
Does this one only works with CDJs ?

considering it shows a picture of a laptop on the stand, i doubt it.

velcro strips that you stick on the bottom of your laptop or somethin? confused here...he didnt have any velcro anything on his stand when we used it
DJ Unique 6:00 AM - 4 January, 2007
Mine shipped with Velcro strips and yes, I put a bit of Velcro on the Uberstand and the Laptop.

Without this Velcro it would be real easy for the laptop to fall when accidentally pushed.

Anyone interested in getting an Uberstand, PM me.
