The key word here was "RANE"! Imagine a full 12" spinning, weighted, bullet-proof, metal tank of a control platter (basically a classic Technics SL1200 without a tonarm/cartridge/styli/etc.) with premuim/long pitch control and assignable hot keys built to the rock solid specs of RANE.

also, no CD disc drive needed either.

I imagine a whole controller dedicated to internal mode, connected via USB with CDJ-200 style jog-dials.
I bet they won't do anything till pitch 'n time comes out ... so it'll have 2 sliders, one for pitch and 1 for key :)

torq and numark have usb controllers.What happen to Rane/Serato?

As stated, MIDI is coming in 1.8, so you'll be able to use any controller you want then. Right now SSL only supports the iCDX and should also support the other new player from Numark that's like a DAC-3, I think it's called the DMC2.

I'm sure sooner or later, Rane will make their own dedicated controller for SSL, it's just a matter of time.
