Product: pitchntime-pro
Version: 2.5
Platform: protoolshd
Computer: mac
OS Version: 10.5.8
---
When I capture audio into the graph mode of pitch the cursor has about quarter of a second delay. When I hit play the cursor starts close to the end of the waveform while the audio is playing from the top of the audio and continues out of sync as it loops around. Very confusing when trying to draw in pitch correction on the graph.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks

Hi cliffreeves,
Are you able to give me the specs of your computer? Also what type of audio are you processing? Does this happen every time?

Hi Michael
Thank you for your response.
I am using it on a couple of machines. One at the studio and one at the home studio and I get the problem on both I shall give you the spec of the older machine.
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B08
SMC Version (system): 1.7f10
As you can see it has 16 gig ram so not a slow machine.
From memory the other Intel Mac is similar but has faster processor speed.
I am processing small chunks of female VOX at a time. by that I mean probably less than 4 seconds worth, before processing then updating te wave from and starting with the next section.
I hope this is of help
Cheers

Hi Michael
In the studio I'm on the latest Version Protools HD 8.0.3 CS2. I was having the same problem before the CS update. My machine at home, also with the problem is running Protools HD 8.0.1.
Cheers

Hi Cliff,
I think it may have been removed in Pro Tools 8, but if you go into the Processing Preferences can you change the AudioSuite Buffer Size? If so, try decreasing it - does this help?

Hi Michael,
Unfortunately it has been removed from Pro tools 8. So no joy I'm afraid.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your ongoing help

Hey Cliff,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The only other thing I can think to try is if you open the Setups -> Playback Engine and lower the setting of the "DAE Playback Buffer". Does this help?

Hey Cliff,
Yes I'm afraid that I have nothing else that I can suggest for you to try sorry :(
It would be great if you could get in touch with DigiDesign, I'd like to hear what suggestions they can offer!
