how long to / when to wind down the night

The manager where i work requires 2 slow, sing along songs at the end of the night. the ugly lights are turned on at the end of the first song to give everyone a heads up to close their tabs and get the fuck out. anyways, i was wondering how other djs end their nights. ive had a couple times where i just had to stop playing because of the cops or capacity and it takes 30 minutes longer for everyone to leave, so it makes sense to do it his way. what is everyone else doing?

about 10 minutes before your going to be cut...play like slow dance songs. lets get it on, pass the dutchie, i wanna love you etc
