Ok, so check this out...In addition to DJing, I'm sort of a singer/songwriter in my spare time type deal. I'm also a shitty guitar player, but I pretty much just use the guitar to write music.
I was asked to do this show with a few other singer/songwriters like 2 weeks before the show, but since it was down in San Pedro and I live about an hour from San Pedro, I figured I'd do it because if I sucked I wouldn't have to see any of those people again.
Anyway, I called a buddy of mine who's a real guitarist, and he said he'd play the guitar for me during the show...I have a huge problem singing and playing the guitar at the same time. So come the day of the show, he calls me and flakes, so I ended up having to do the show all myself, playing the guitar and singing at the same time...with 2 weeks worth of practice and pretty much no guitar practice...
Now this isn't hip-hop, it probably isn't the style of music any of us DJ, but you guys are music heads, and I know I'll get honest opinions about the songs (in addition to the, "You need more practice, you sounded like a rookie"). They are all original songs except for the acoustic cover of Crazy.
Lemme know what you think.
