New post count incorrect

New post count incorrect

When you're looking at the main forum directory, it shows how many new posts there are in a particular forum - this number is incorrect. The reason I know this is because one forum said there were 111 new messages, but when I went into that forum, there was only 1 new post in a message thread that had 111 messages (including that 1 new post).

Just thought I'd letcha know.

it happens intermittently, depending on a few different conditions. the message count stuff is complex. really big data sets, so it requires some magic to keep it all up to date. sometimes it fails :)

I think one way to make it fail is if you trigger the "mark discussions as read" in one area.
