Can you just buy a new Rane amp/box thingy?

I've been thinking about how much more convenient it would be if I could just have two serato boxes; 1 to permanently keep set up at home and one in the bag for the club and shows. Anyone know if there's a way to just get the box without paying extra for the software and licensing?

The SL 1 USB interface is not available to purchase separately. The only way to obtain the SL 1 is to purchase the complete Scratch LIVE system from a Rane dealer.

The software is free mate ... it's just you you need the SL1 unit to make it work, so there is nothing stopping you from buying a new SL1 unit ... it just won't be any cheaper.
Good luck

Shaun, I would make fun of your post, but then I'd be banned, again. Even though I could probably return under a similar name, I've tired of re-registering.

the software is free. the records are $10 each, retail. so basically you're asking if there is anyway to save $20 on a new SL-1?
yes there is. look for deals on the internet. that's what everyone else seems to do.
i think i was at a sale the other day that had serato setups for $450 or something like that, so yes it happens.

I definitely did, unintentionally, set myself up for it :)
